Captivate Your Audience with a Professional Mentalism Show
See what a stage mentalism performance looks like at a corporate event. This video shows Kostya Kimlat, founder of See Magic Live and Mentalists.net, entertaining guests at a large corporate conference.
Hire a MentalistThe Program Moment Everyone Actually Pays Attention To
The best after-dinner programming does one thing well: it holds attention from the first minute to the last. A group mentalism show does this because the audience is directly involved in every segment. The content is coming from their minds. Volunteers from the crowd participate in every routine. Thoughts are revealed. Predictions sealed before the event are opened live. When 200 people watch a stranger’s secret get named out loud, nobody is checking their phone.
This is why mentalism has become one of the most requested forms of corporate entertainment at conferences, sales kickoffs, awards dinners, and galas. The format is built to command attention in a room full of adults who have already sat through a long day of programming.
A Show That Works for Every Person in the Room
One of the challenges of booking entertainment for a large group is demographic range. Your audience might include executives and entry-level employees. People in their twenties and people in their sixties. Guests who love entertainment and guests who pride themselves on being hard to impress. Mentalism works across all of these groups because the material comes from the audience itself. The mentalist reads the room, involves real volunteers, and creates moments that are inherently personal and universal at the same time.
Skeptics are actually the best audience members. When someone who “doesn’t believe in this stuff” has their thought revealed accurately in front of 200 colleagues, their reaction is the biggest in the room. That’s the moment everyone remembers.
Turn Your Dinner Program Into the Highlight of the Evening
A group mentalism show runs 30–60 minutes, with 45 minutes being the most popular length for dinner events. Here’s the typical structure: Before the event, the mentalist may seal predictions in envelopes or have specific items prepared that will be revealed during the show. During the performance, volunteers are invited from the audience for each segment. The mentalist reads thoughts, makes predictions, and demonstrates feats of psychological observation, all using material generated live by your guests.
The show uses your existing AV setup: a wireless microphone and, optionally, a screen for visual moments. We coordinate all technical requirements with your venue or AV team in advance. Your performer arrives briefed on the event, the audience, and the program flow. The most common placements: the entertainment segment of a corporate awards dinner, the highlight slot at a sales conference or kickoff, the after-dinner program at a gala or fundraiser, or the centerpiece of a private milestone celebration. For events with a cocktail hour before the seated program, many clients pair strolling mentalism during the reception with a group show after dinner. This gives guests two distinct experiences and keeps the energy high across the entire evening. We can advise whether a combination package makes sense when you reach out.
Performers You Can Trust With Your Event
When you’re the person responsible for booking entertainment at a corporate event or gala, your reputation is attached to the performer’s quality. If the show falls flat, that reflects on you. If the performer is late or unprofessional, that reflects on you. You need to know, before you sign anything, that the person standing in front of your CEO or your biggest donors will deliver. Every mentalist on the Mentalists.net roster has been personally auditioned by Kostya Kimlat. Kostya is a professional mentalist and magician who fooled Penn & Teller on national television and has performed in over 200 cities across five continents. Penn Jillette called Kostya “one of the best magicians we have in the world today.”
Our booking team at See Magic Live handles the rest: recommending the right performer for your audience, coordinating logistics and technical requirements, confirming arrival and preparation details, and staying available through the day of the event. We’ve been doing this since 2010.
